Directions to The Stable.

Approaching from the South
Perth to The Stable approx 1 hr or 60 miles

  • Take A9 signposted Inverness
  • After approx 50 miles you will see a sign - Drumochter Pass 1516 feet/462 metres
  • After a further 4 miles turn left onto the A889 signposted Dalwhinnie, Spean Bridge, Fort William
  • Follow this road until you come to a sharp left - approx 5 miles
  • Follow road round to left (landmarks are Catlodge on your left, phone box straight ahead)
  • Road starts to go down hill.
  • At bottom of hill you will see gate to your left and sign post ‘Lagg Cottage’ you have arrived
  • The Stable is part of Lagg Cottage set back and high above the road.
  • If you have gone past a white cottage close to the road you have gone
    too far.

Approaching from the North
Inverness to The Stable approx 1 hr or 55 miles

  • Take A9 signposted Aberdeen, Perth
  • After approx 40 miles branch left signposted Kingussie, Newtonmore
  • At T junction turn right onto A86
  • Drive through Kingussie
  • Enter Newtonmore and branch right on the A86 signposted Spean Bridge, Fort Willian
  • After approx 6 miles you will enter Laggan
  • Continue through and turn left onto A889 signposted Perth
  • Pass the Monadhliath Hotel and Pottery/Coffee Shop on your left
  • You will see a white cottage on your right.
  • Just before the hill you will see gate to your right and sign post ‘Lagg Cottage’ you have arrived
  • The Stable is part of Lagg Cottage set back and high above the road.

Approaching from North East
Fort William to The Stable approx 50 mins or 40 miles

  • Take the A82 signposted Inverness
  • After 10 miles enter Spean Bridge
  • Turn right onto A86 signposted Newtonmore
  • After 4 miles enter Roy Bridge
  • Turn right onto A889 signposted Perth
  • After approx 25 miles turn right onto A889 signposted Perth
  • Pass the Monadhliath Hotel and Pottery/Coffee Shop on your left
  • You will see a white cottage on your right.
  • Just before the hill you will see gate to your right and sign post ‘Lagg Cottage’ you have arrived
